Ho'oponopono as Way to Make a Change in Your World & Your Consciousness

In an earlier blog entitled 7 Ways to Make a Change in Your World and Re-Focus Your Life I mentioned Ho’oponopono.   Today is the day to talk a little about that.  It’s an incredible tool for change.

Dr. Stanley Hew Len worked at the Hawaii State Hospital clinic for the mentally ill and used Ho’oponopono to heal the criminals who committed violent crimes against humanity.

The violent criminals were housed in this clinic, as they couldn’t be tried for reasons of mental illness,  until they were deemed mentally competent to stand trial.

Needless to say he basically healed the people in the ward, he was there almost four years and only a few patients had to be relocated when the clinic eventually closed.  His teacher, the late Mornah Nalamaku Simeona taught him this art.

Dr. Hew Len took each patient file and sat with it, waiting for what would arise in him, sadness, fear, anger, resentment, etc.

He would then do Ho’oponopono into that aspect of himself working at healing himself.  First recognizing this was an aspect of his creation, then regretting that his perceptions created his reality,  asking for Divine guidance in healing it and removing it, and being grateful to the Divine for doing so and guiding him in it.

Your perceptions are your reality and you are responsible for them.

If someone is depressed, the kids are out of control, another is angry, you are responsible for the part of you that perceives it.

The world is your creation, it’s not your fault, but you are responsible to heal that part of you that perceives the person, place or thing as a problem.

He thought of the other person as aspects of himself that needed healing.  I believe this is an important point to make as it allows us to go within deeper.

Scientifically, if there is really only One energy and it flows through us all then truly the other is part of yourself.  Healing yourself will in turn positively affect the other people around you.

When we do onto others, it is doing onto ourselves whether the actions are positive or negative.  Have compassion for the quality in them that is irritating you, work with it in yourself as well if you can see it as an exacerbated reflection of something you do not like about yourself, whatever comes up in you heal that.

However challenging it may be to look at yourself in this way, it is liberating if you dare to take the journey.

You are responsible for your creation of every reaction you have.

Whenever an issue or reaction comes up in the Ho’oponopono way, say "I love you, I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you." I suggest you say this to yourself as well as the other for bringing it to your attention.

This is an ongoing process as moment to moment issues arise, but you can change your life. Make sure you get to a feeling of compassion and the emotion of the words when you use them. If done in sincerity things will change.

 Take responsibility for you.

Sound and It's Varying Effects on Your Health and Well Being

Sound has it’s varying effects on your health and well being.

Sound, being a frequency, plays a large role in the world of energy medicine and therefore a huge contributing factor in effecting your health positively or negatively.

Many studies have been done on the power of sound.

One study was done with plants showing that rock music negatively affected their growth while classical music seemed to positively enhance their growth.

Country had no effect. I always thought that was funny.

Don’t tell the country music industry.

Certain sounds will definitely support your well being while others will adversely affect it.

Fingernails on a chalkboard, you know this causes an eerie sensation up your spine. Not something you want to continually subject your body to.

Someone singing with a perfect pitch will cause harmony within your body and good feelings, where off pitch, like the fingernails on the chalkboard example, will cause a prickling sensation within you.

Always move toward that which causes harmony within you.

Certain music is known to make it easier for us to study and absorb information, while other type do nothing but distract us.

Have you ever heard of "Mozart Makes You Smart"?

That music is specifically selected to help stimulate your mind into a state of being receptive to learning.  You play it in the background while you study and it helps with retention and recall of information.

There are certain music compositions you would play to relax and quiet your mind. Choose melodies that create calm and serene feelings when falling asleep at night so that adrenaline isn’t released.

Choose melodies that are more stimulating during the day for heightened awareness.

Choose music that creates harmony in your body, mind, and spirit.   Include vocals of a positive nature to support your entire being.

Sunlight's Role in Your Health

Light definitely plays a role in your health.  Many of the original natural health centers around the world had their patients get twenty minutes of sunshine on their bodies a day; helping to boost patients overall mood, sense of well being, and general health assisting in resetting their circadian rhythm.

Of course, we all know that our bodies convert sunshine to vitamin D when we are functioning in a healthy state.   It is always best to get your nutrition from the source rather than a supplement if possible.

Use your wisdom when gaining direct sunlight exposure.  Physical exposure to sunlight in certain areas of our planet may quickly lead to overexposure such as at  high altitudes or locations around the world where there is a known thinning of the atmosphere’s ozone layer.

Within all things, use your wisdom to guide you. Twenty minutes of direct sunshine on your hands a day is a healthy place to start.

Natural light affects your circadian rhythm which consists of behavioral, physical and mental changes occurring within a 24 hr period of time. This is how your body is attuned to the cycles of day and night, which plays a critical role in your health.

A master clock that controls your circadian rhythms consists of a grouping of cells within the brain called the suprachiasmatic nucleus, or SCN. The SCN is located in the hypothalamus.  The SCN receives information from incoming light, as a feedback from the optic nerve which relays information to the brain. The SCN then triggers the release of melatonin which makes us sleepy, affecting our circadian rhythm.

The hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis is the main controller and feedback mechanism of your body, controlling hormones which relate to every conceivable body function.

This has effects on our immune system, feeding and breeding, our ability to fight off disease, hunger and obesity, repertory rate, diabetes, blood pressure, depression, and mental faculties.  This rhythm controls our sleep wake cycle so it’s vitally important for brain function and body regulation.

Sleeping at night and being awake during the day would obviously be the best choice for promoting a healthier state.  The natural light which you would be exposed to during daylight hours contributes to a functional circadian rhythm which in turn would promote overall health and well being.

If this is not possible for you to keep a schedule that allows you to be awake during the day do seek out a natural light system to use in the lighting in your home when you are awake.

Making a Change With EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique -

Negative emotions cause a disruption in the flow of energy within the body.  Some people actually become aware of body pain coming on when experiencing a negative reaction to people, places, or events.

Then they start to realize that when they release the negative charge to that person place or event, etc. their body pain goes away. Surprise! There goes that body-mind connection again.  Here is a very basic way to use EFT.

EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique – You actually tap on a series of acupressure points which correspond to meridian flows in your body. This may be used to help re-program your way of thinking and clear negative blocks.

Above is an image depicting  points to tap on.  Tap these points while repeating the following type of statements.  A good place to start is :

"I deeply and completely love and accept myself exactly the way I am here and now."

Everyone could use to do a little bit more of that.

You can use EFT for anything and everything.  Just the tapping points will make you feel better so don’t worry about what affirmations you use as long as they feel good to you.

Here is a video that I recommend you follow:

As you use EFT to release known and unknown negative energy trapped in your body, you will not only feel better but your life will become better.

Dr. Samantha Joseph is an expert in helping people release blocks that allow physical, mental and emotional healing. Go to BeEmpoweredNow.Net and find out how she can help you.

Support Yourself, What Needs Healing?

Supporting your body on the path of healing is so important.  Whatever it is that is throwing you off, be it anger, resentment, chronic or acute diseases, sadness, various aches and pains, this is what you believe is needing healing.  Start there.  Balance nutrition, rest, exercise, and pursue a cure, knowing that it is possible.

Our health is not just our bodies, but it is an integration of body, mind and spirit.  Over the years of working with chronic disease in energy medicine, I saw that there was always some issue behind a disease pattern.  That’s why frequency matching didn’t seem to work all of the time.  If you can get to the issue behind the disease, you can then address it.  That’s where spiritual healing comes in.

It seems that disease mimics in our body our judgments or issues we have with our world.  Maybe foot pain is afraid to stand on your own, leg problems are afraid to step forward in life, and then there is our belief that this is the way the body is supposed to go, or the belief that my parents had this issue, why wouldn’t I?

Your fear of it or focus on it draws it closer to you.  Your disdain for weak people maybe makes you weak later in life and then you end up with disdain for yourself that shuts the body down. When all you have to do is turn and love that part of you, and have respect for that aspect of yourself, this thought alone may free the body up to heal itself.

People first of all have to want to heal.  Looking behind the disease pattern is not necessarily an easy journey.  It makes us have to look at our own issues lurking in the shadows within ourselves.  The only way to free ourselves from ourselves is to turn and face these thoughts we have in those shadowy areas of ourselves.  Choose differently and know you can.

If we are in reaction to the world around us, it is our reaction and only we can change it.
